Purple Summer steht für die Farbenpracht, die ich jedes Jahr in meinem Garten erleben darf.
Der herrliche Duft von Lavendel und das tief dunkle Lila des Rittersporns begeistern mich immer wieder. Dazu fügen sich verschiedenen Gelbtöne, wie Frauenmantel und Sonnenhut, ganz wunderbar in das Farbspiel ein. Schnell entstand aus diesen Farben die Inspiration für mein Purple Summer Tuch.
Die Hintergrundfarbe des Tuches ist ein dunkler Lila-Ton, MURLBERRY von Jamieson of Shetland.
Purple Summer stands for the colourful splendour I was able to witness in my garden this year. While sitting in my deckchair knitting, I ever so often looked over at my flower beds full of splendid perennials. I was enchanted by the wonderfully delicate scent of lavender and the dark purple of the delphiniums. These were complemented by numerous shades of yellow, such as lady’s mantle and echinacea. These colours instantaneously became the inspiration for my Purple Summer shawl.
